We are thrilled to announce that the Frist Latin American Congress of Physical Activity and Health Research will take place virtually on June 22-24, 2021. We would like to sincerely thank every single one of you for your patience while we re-structured our congress plan during what has been a historical year for global public health. The decision to turn this event into one that is 100% virtual was not taken lightly. We considered several options, ranging from hosting a fully in-person event later in the year (or in 2022), to hosting a hybrid event, to hosting a fully virtual event. In the end, we decided to move forward with a high-quality online event to ensure that our Congress launch is not further delayed, and also, to ensure equitable access to our Congress to all interested, as we are aware that the current public health crisis has different cost, travel, and safety implications across Latin America and the world – where you, our Congress attendees, will be joining us from. We don’t want these limitations to restrict the number and diversity of Congress participants in any way. As such, we have also carefully considered our Congress costs. The new posted registration fees reflect what we believe is a fair and accessible Congress cost for a virtual event – one that guarantees the highest quality of the event and online experience, while allowing an accessible event to Latin American and global physical activity and health researchers of all career stages. We would also like to remind everyone that all previously accepted abstracts will automatically become part of our program for all registered presenters. We will be in touch with the authors of accepted works to inform you of additional details for your presentation and conference registration. We hope you will be able to join us in this important event for our field and region! #MovingTogether.
If you are interested in participating in the congress, please create an account and register.
*Note: the costs in US dólares are approximate, and are based on the available exchange on March 11, 2021. The fixed cost of registration is in Mexican Pesos. As such, the US dollar equivalency can vary on a daily basis, depending on the most current exchange rate.
